REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP BOARD
November 5, 2018
Supervisor Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Rob Smith, Michelle Quakenbush, Gail Huber, Fran Ash.
Absent: Jan Gill.
PREVIOUS MINUTES
Motion by Huber, supported by Quakenbush, to approve minutes of October 1, 2018 with the correction of ZBA meeting date changed from January 8, 2018 to read as January 8, 2019.
Motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Motion by Ash, supported by Huber, to approve the treasurer’s report of Nov 5, 2018 balance of $1,593,117.45 and overall balance of $1,998,614.55.

Motion unanimously carried.
Public comment was held.
Fire chief, Don Brown gave a report on the fire department.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The nuisance party ordinance has been given to the Planning Commission for review.
NEW BUSINESS
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR TIM BEBEE
ZA Bebee was absent.
Motion by Huber, supported by Quakenbush, to pay the bills.

OTHER
Motion by Ash, supported by Quakenbush, to pay Chippewa Township’s share of the Shepherd Tri-Twp Fire department labor costs in the amount of $35,312.66.

Motion unanimously carried.
Motion by Smith, supported by Quakenbush, to approve addendum to the Shepherd Tri-Twp Fire Dept agreement of 2015. The four entities of the fire department, Chippewa Township, Village of Shepherd, Coe Township and Lincoln Township, will place $25,000.00 per year for a total of $100,000.00 into a fund for equipment replacement. The addendum is for the fiscal years of 2018-19 to 20192029-30.

Clerk Ash stated that the door jambs and doors in the cemetery building have rotted. She has ordered three replacement doors that have a lifetime guarantee.
Motion by Ash, supported by Quakenbush, to purchase three doors at a cost of $1006.74.
