REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP BOARD
October 1, 2018
Supervisor Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Rob Smith, Michelle Quakenbush, Jan Gill, Fran Ash.
Absent: Gail Huber.
PREVIOUS MINUTES
Motion by Quakenbush, supported by Gill, to approve minutes of Sept 4, 2018.
Motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Motion by Ash, supported by Quakenbush, to approve the treasurer’s report of Oct. 1, 2018 balance of $1,733,076.87 and overall balance of $2,138,283,78.
Roll call vote—Yes: Smith, Gill, Ash, Quakenbush; No: None.
Motion unanimously carried.
Public comment was held.
Bill Tucker from Stevens, Kirinovic and Tucker gave the board the audit report.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Attorney Bloem was absent. Supervisor Smith stated that Attorney Bloem is still working on it.
NEW BUSINESS
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR TIM BEBEE
ZA Bebee gave his report.
Motion by Ash, supported by Gill, to pay two chairpersons $15.00 per hour and eleven inspectors $10.00 per hour to work the November 6th general election.
Roll call vote—Yes: Smith, Gill, Ash, Quakenbush; No: None.
Motion unanimously carried.
Smith stated the ZBA would like to move the December 11, 2018 meeting to January 8, 2019.
Motion by Gill, supported by Quakenbush, to change the December 2018 ZBA meeting to January 8, 2018 2019 and dates of April 9th, July 9th and October 8th for ZBA meetings in 2019.
Motion carried.
Motion by Ash, supported by Quakenbush, to approve the 2019 APM Mosquito Control contract for $77,390.00.

Motion unanimously carried.
PAY THE BILLS
Motion by Quakenbush, supported by Gill, to pay the bills.

OTHER
The Shepherd Fire Dept. Association paid $2408.00 for two flagpoles. One was put at the township’s fire station.
Motion by Ash, supported by Gill, to pay $1204.00 for the flag pole which was installed at the fire station.
