REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP BOARD
September 7, 2021
Supervisor Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Rob Smith, Fran Ash, Kathy VanderKolk, Gail Huber, Michelle Quakenbush.
PREVIOUS MINUTES
Motion by Huber, supported by VanderKolk, to approve meeting minutes of August 2, 2021.

TREASURER'S REPORT
Motion, by Ash, supported by Huber, to approve the treasurer’s report of Sept. 7, 2021 balance of $2,393,579.95 and overall balance of $2,565,623.57.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
BLIGHT OFFICER
Supervisor Smith stated he will set up a meeting with attorney Bloem to interview Trevor Reid. ZA Bebee, supervisor Smith and attorney Bloem will write up a job description for the blight officer.
Motion by VanderKolk, supported by Quakenbush, to adopt Chippewa Township Enforcement Officer Ordinance 2021-1.

POLICIES

NEW BUSINESS
ZONING ADMINSTRATOR – TIM BEBEE
ZA Bebee was absent.
BUDGET AMENDMENTS
Motion by Ash, supported by Quakenbush, to amend the budget for clerk software $6000.00 due to new software.

Motion by Ash, supported by Huber, to amend the budget for township offices capital improvement by $10,000.00 due to phone system replacement.

ZBA ALTERNATE
Motion by Quakenbush, supported by VanderKolk, to appoint Brian Schantz to the ZBA as an alternate with a term ending January 1, 2023.
