CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
September 12, 2022 Minutes
Call to Order 7:00 pm
Present: ZA Bebee, Bob Wetherbee, Matt Flegel, Michelle Quakenbush, Susan Gates (Chair), Monica Richer, Rod Reid, Brian Schantz.
Absent: ZA Bebee
Pledge of Allegiance.
MINUTES APPROVAL of August 08, 2022: motion by Schantz, second by Reid. All in favor; motion carried.
Correspondence:
None.
Old Business:
Based on input from the attorney, amendments have to be made to the Campground Ordinance draft.
ZA updated the board: Dave Clark finished private road and can now do land splits--Wing Road, east of Wise Road.
Camelot Lake asked the Township Board for assistance with drainage problems on Co Line Road.
Discussion by board, with a motion made by Gates, second by Flegel, to recommend to the Township Board to put out a search for a new attorney. The Planning Commission doesn't feel we are getting the support we need.
Roll Call Vote: All Yes.
Michelle gave an update of the Ordinance recommended to the Township Board.
Discussion by the board, about "Hot Topics in Zoning" training session, put on by the Michigan Townships Association.
Audience Participation:
Kathy VanderKolk, 9048 E River Rd Mt Pleasant, stated Michigan State Extension office has a 6-week course available online. There is a fee of $250.00. If interested, contact Kathy; she'll give you the info.
New Business:
None--solar and wind carried over.
