Call to Order 7:00 pm
Present: ZA Bebee, Bob Wetherbee, Matt Flegel, Michelle Quakenbush, Susan Gates (Chair), Monica Richer, Rod Reid, Brian Schantz.
Absent: None.
Pledge of Allegiance.
MINUTES APPROVAL of June 13, 2022: motion by Schantz, second by Reid. All in favor; motion carried.
MINUTES APPROVAL of July 11, 2022: motion by Schantz, second by Wetherbee. All in favor; motion carried.

Old Business:
Public hearing on storm water ordinance.
7:12 pm opened public hearing; no comments.
7:12 pm close public hearing.
Discussion by board; decided to table and review it.
Public hearing on campgrounds and swimming pools.
7:52 pm open public hearing; no comments.
7:53 pm close public hearing.
Motion by Schantz to recommend to township board for approval of the campground and swimming pools ordinance. Second by Quakenbush.
Roll call vote: all yes.
Motion carried.
Public hearing on self-storage buildings and developments.
8:05 pm open public hearing.
Bev Cashen, 10426 E Pickard Rd, Mt Pleasant Mi, inquired about residential use. ZA responded this is commercial and industrial only.
8:22 pm close public hearing.
Motion by Schantz to recommend to the township board for approval of the self-storage buildings and developments ordinance, with wording changes made. Second by Quakenbush.
Roll call vote:
Wetherbee asked to be put on record he opposes this ordinance. He feels it does not match the township's master plan--doesn't think it's a good idea and will not vote based on a conflict of interest.
Flegel--yes, Quakenbush--yes, Gates--yes, Richer--yes, Reid--yes, Schantz--yes.
Motion carried.
New Business:
None--solar and wind carried over.

8:47 pm. Motion made by Quakenbush, second by Reid. All in favor; motion carried.
